summer essentials: mommy edition

This heat is unbearable. It screams summer in every corner of my country. So here are my list of things that I'm wishing I have in my closet so as to beat or rather survive the heat.

A girl can never have too much swimwear, right? And that Emilio Pucci swimsuit is to die! An airy tank top, shift dress and romper are few pieces I think perfect for summer. If there's also one or maybe make it two things I really want to add on my closet right now are floral short and salt water sandal.

Oh, I want/need a bright lipstick too.

Whatever. I can't have one, two pieces at all. I want them ALL!

If I keep looking at these pictures, is there a chance for them to be real and be mine?

Beach Bound

Beach Bound

My little family is heading to the beach for some R&R (hopefully) todat. This will be our first family trip so I'm kinda excited. Hopefully the beach is fantastic and the little girl will love the sand this time (she hated her 1st encounter).
So in between packing I got to play with Polyvore first to fantasize what I'd love to bring or would love to have for this beach escapade.

I wish I'm really packing these stuff but instead I only have this reality...

sorry for the crappy photo, took this in the middle of the night using a not so good camera with a not so good lighting. ;p

I'm packing for 3 so I better get back to the one of the most hideous job on earth (as for me).

Dreaming of Fall

Dreaming of Fall

I wish I live in a 4 seasons country, I will probably love the fall season. I know, it's a surprise for a person like me who gets cold easily. But what's not to love with fall? The colors of the leaves is so beautiful. It's neither too cold nor hot (obviously I have love/hate relationship with the sun). But the obvious reason there is why I love fall is the... CLOTHES! Oh, how I love layering. Fall for me is the most appropriate time to wear colorful clothes (but not top to toe colorful, if you know what I mean) inspired by the colorful leaves. A pop of color here and there doesn't hurt, y'know. And fall will be the perfect excuse to sip that hot chocolate without counting the calories.
So I guess it's time to reassess my future, to live in a country with 4 seasons. Who knows the universe will conspire.

Tababski's Room

No wardrobe set for me this time, instead I'm creating a design board for my little girl's room. None of that princess-y theme room. And none of that all pink room from paint down to the pillow, yikes! For this room I'm imagining an all white room with one part of the room painted in a chalkboard paint? Y'know for her to doodle (I see an artist in her at her shy age of one). *insert: I don't intend to make a room for her and paint it with purple/indigo/lilac/lavender/violet/periwinkle as maybe expected by everyone (since we named her Indigo). I am less boring than that people, I have imagination too, thank you very much. And I'm afraid that if I'll surround her with the same family color as her name she might go mad.
Though in real life (if one day I'm building a room for my little one) I want her to have a day bed but when I saw this iron+vintage look+just a soft pink it was a love at first sight. If only someone can create this for me. Another thing that caught my breath away in this set is the dresser, don't you just love it? It's in the most perfect shade of pink. And the distressed look of it makes it so perfect. I'm making a mental note to have a ruffle curtain made, it makes the room so much fun.
This is a baby's room, right? So expect the clutter, toys and books everywhere.

Steal Her Style

I recently watched GG Season 5 and I looove Blake Lively's clothes especially her accessories- the big/chunky and colorful accessories made my mouth salivate. True story.
Anyway, while the little bubba is napping I played with Polyvore and took inspiration of Blake's (yes, we're first name basis) clothes. Obviously, I'm loving wide leg or Palazzo pants than the maxi skirt. And that "weird" toy she's carrying freak me out, I changed it to a clutch instead. And since I'm not really a rubber slipper person I changed it to a thong sandal. I opted for a basic white tank (Blake's tank has some pattern on the chest part) so as not to make it OTT with the studded vest. The necklace is what I mostly love, I am really a sucker for accessories and if you know me too well I can't go out of the house without a single accessory in my body.
Why I choose this look? Because so far on the new episode of GG and what Blake has been wearing this is the most "child friendly" look. Of course, let's be realistic here I am a mother and I have a toddler in tow most of the time. Ahhh... that clutch most likely will be dumped on the BIG diaper bag. Tsk... tsk... tsk... failed look. Whatevs.

Midas Touch

Midas Touch

Did you know about the story of Midas Touch? Where everything he touch will turn into gold? I wish I have that capabilities but such capabilities will only apply to things and doesn't include human being. I don't wish to have a golden baby nor a husband. ;)
